Are you looking for something to do with your teen this weekend? Why not go on a mall scavenger hunt. This is a great way that you and your teen can work together and a lot of the time the mall will be giving prizes to the winners that complete the hunt. For those that have never heard of these games going on it is a great thing to try out . A lot of the time when you walk into the mall you will go to the service desk to get the sheet of clues and things you have to look for . From their you are going to have to look for the objects. Sometimes these objects will have riddles on them that you may have to solve to get to the next point . Once you figure that one out then you move to the next store.. A lot of the time these scavenger hunts do take a while so if you are planning to do this with your teen make sure that you have the right kind of shoes on , because you might find yourself running through the mall to get the next station.
While you are at the mall you will find that they are very creative with their clues that they give to people you really have to sit there and figure it out . But then sometimes they are so easy that you move on to the next clue within a few seconds. Teens love the fact that there is an adrenaline rush especially if they are a sports kid. You would be surprised as to how many teens and adults will go through and do the scavenger like it is a treasure hunt. Either way you look at it , it could be considered both. But also while they are doing the scavenger hunt the different stores are making money while they are in there looking for the clue. The reason that they are making the money is because while they are looking for the clues they may come across something they think is cute and they have to have that item, now that is a great idea on the malls part .
So the next time that you want to spend time with your teenager as a family why not look and see if any of the malls around you are having a few scavenger hunts going on while you are in town. You may actually find that, that is going to be a new family time thing for everyone in the family. But if you have a few small children you may want to make sure that you have a sitter for the simple fact that they may get stepped on while you are looking for clues and that is never a good thing for anyone especially the little ones. That way you will get personal one on one time with your teens without them stressing about the little ones always getting all the attention and they not get any attention.
